La madre denunció el secuestro de la bebé, lo que causó un despliegue en toda la región, causando cierres carreteros y retenes.

El gobernador de Coahuila, Miguel Riquelme Solís, comentó que ya se estaba trabajando en encontrar el paradero de la niña desde el momento del plagio.

Según los primeros informes, el cuerpo fue encontrado con signos de golpes en cabeza y barbilla; los familiares arribaron al lugar e identificaron a la bebé.

La primera línea de investigación según autoridades, apuntan hacia un problema familiar y se descartó que se trate de una banda de criminales.

Se tiene confirmada la detención de un hombre de alrededor de 25 años por el probable homicidio de la menor.
