El celebre luchador de la WWE, John Cena, será parte de los supervillanos que protagonicen la secuela de The Suicide Squad.
Según el portal de Variety, Cena, es uno de los gladiadores mejor pagados de la WWE y ahora le dará vida a The Peacemaker, que formará parte esencial de la nueva cinta.
Variety afirmó que el director James Gunn, pensó, desde el principio en ofrecer el papel a Dave Bautista, quien ya ha interpretado al superheroe Drax en Guardianes de la Galaxia, sin embargo, los retrasos en la filmación llevaron a Bautista a firmar un papel estelar en la próxima cinta de zombies de Zack Snyder.
Hasta el momento se sabe que algunos de los actores repetirán sus papeles, como es el caso de Jai Courtney y Margot Robbie, que dan vida a Capitán Boomerang y Harley Quinn.
Además se dio a conocer que el actor británico Idris Elba ya firmó su participación en la película aunque, se desconoce cual será el personaje al que dará vida.
Aunque también se dieron a conocer los nombres de los nuevos personajes que saldrán en la secuela de The Suicide Squad, los cuales serán Polka-Dot Man, King Shark, Rarcatcher y, obviamente The Peacemaker.
Se espera que la película inicie grabaciones el próximo otoño y que se estrene aproximadamente el 6 de agosto de 2021.
